Educational Resources

Patricia Shehan Campbell, Ph.D., Rita Klinger Ph.D., Christopher Roberts Ph.D., Laurie K. Sommers, and Karen Howard, teachers with extensive experience in music education and pedagogy, created these lessons using the resources of the Lomax Archive. They are primarily keyed to grades first through seventh; some curricula for Early Childhood, Secondary School, and Adult Education levels are also included.

ACE adds new teaching resources every year, so please check back with us! Teachers, also check out our GeoArchive where your class can explore songs on a globe via Google Maps, and Friends & Colleagues, in-depth profiles of the fascinating people in Alan Lomax's network.

Teachers: Let us know how we can improve our Teaching Resources, or help you better use them. We would be delighted to hear how you're using these materials in your classroom; we'll share your experiences with other teachers. Email us here.
