Alan Lomax Awarded Michigan Heritage Award

The Michigan Heritage Award is the state’s highest distinction to honor individuals who continue their family community and cultural traditions with excellence and devotion.

Alan Lomax was posthumously given this honor by the Michigan State University Museum for his “dedication to the preservation of musical traditions and cultural heritage in Michigan and beyond.”
