From advance fieldwork to finding local partners and community members to co-implement repatriation, curation, circulation and use of materials.
Endangered Cultures Initiative
New documentation created by culture members, and owned, curated, managed by the community.
Preservation and Dissemination
The preservation, restoration, and digitization of the John A. and Alan Lomax fieldwork collections, disseminated via the Lomax Digital Archive, Global Jukebox, our YouTube Channel, and local repositories, bringing functionality, interconnectivity, cohesion and community involvement to our collections.
Mentorship
We support the work of emerging leaders and organizations, encouraging them to make use of our materials, finish projects, and to create new ones.
