Ballads, Blues, & Bluegrass: A Tribute to Alan Lomax

Tickets
Join us for a night of special performances and a premiere film screening to support the Association for Cultural Equity (ACE) and legacy of Alan Lomax!
With Peter Stampfel, Catherine Russell, Luther Dickinson, and many more, the benefit concert will feature new interpretations of songs drawn from the Lomax Archive.
These performances will follow a NYC premiere screening of Lomax’s 1961 film “Ballads, Blues, and Bluegrass”, film featuring Doc Watson, Roscoe Holcomb, Willie Dixon, and Memphis Slim.
As ACE continues its decades-long mission to preserve and share the Alan Lomax Archive, reconnect communities with their creative heritage, support artists and heirs, and inspire new creative engagements with these collections, we invite you to help carry this work forward.
All ticket proceeds support ACE’s restoration and digitization efforts, community partnerships, and public programming. Your support helps ensure that Lomax’s legacy and ACE’s work continue to reach and inspire a new generation of artists, audiences, researchers, and activists dedicated to sustaining and reimagining the world’s cultural traditions
